Island Groups

Four separate petroglyph groups are found on two small nameless islands located downstream from the island of Erpin Pudas. The groups have both single petroglyphs (2-3) and petroglyphs forming groups (10-15) with no central images standing out from the other engravings due to their size. The small petroglyph number and the similar manner of engraving prove the fact that the petroglyphs were made at the same time. The groups mainly have boat images including some images of big boats carrying passengers. Recently (in 2006) another petroglyph group was discovered. It was discovered by an expedition organized by Petrozavodsk State University on a big nameless island.
