Besovy Sledki (Pavilion)

The petroglyphs were discovered at the northern top end of the island of Shoirukshin by A. M. Linevsky in 1926. In 1968, a pavilion to protect the petroglyphs was set. The engravings cover the rock surface of 12.5 square meters. The gentle rock surface is even enough. The rock height is 1.5-2.0 meters (19-20 meters above sea level). The group includes about 400 single images varying in their subjects. Forest animals such as deer and moose images as well as sea animals such as white whale, seal and probably seahorse images prevail in the group. The group is famous for its unique image of about one meter height anthropomorphic creature called Bes.
